Youth Program
JT Locke Resource Center After-school Program
JT Locke Resource Center became a 21st Century Community Learning Center (CCLC) in 2010. The 21st CCLC is a state funded program, under No Child Left Behind, designed to provide extended learning and enrichment opportunities to students and parents. Activities and classes are provided at the J. T. Locke Resource Center.
The Center provides homework assistance and tutoring for students who are having difficulty in school or are behind in their classes.
The Center will provide educational enhancement and strengthening programs for students who have interest.
Our director and teachers are advocates for the children and maintain contact with the school/teacher to reinforce current and ongoing lesson plans and studies, reinforce appropriate behavior and will be advocate for the family at teacher conferences or other school related meetings.
With every student we will encourage, enhance and promote learning in subject area(s) they enjoy, such as history, math, language arts, science etc. by providing access to all the current tools needed to do so, such as computer, newspapers, learning videos, encyclopedia and most equipment and materials needed to be successful.
To ensure students are well rounded we will provide constructive and skill enhancing, recreational activities once homework/projects are completed. You may download the application and transportation waiver below.
