Mission Statement
J.T. Locke, one of the first black deans of agriculture (1932-1962) instilled in his students inner strength and excellence which produced many awards and honors. His spirit, honor and strength will be instilled in the youth and their families to strengthen and encourage them through education and access to community resources.

Vision Statement – A Mind of Excellence
The J.T. Locke Resource Center will seek to create a significant family support environment that will promote family preservation, child development and family self-sufficiency through innovative programs and activities. The center will seek to provide the directions to empower oneself with the resources to acquire knowledge, understanding and guidance to a productive, successful and moral life.
